MICRO TRAINER RANGE
Z80-DATS Z80 DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING SYSTEM is a comprehensive computer board based on the Z80 microprocessor. Z80-DATS can be used as a development system for Z80 Assembler or Machine Code programs, the EPROM based monitor providing a user interface to any standard PC via one of its serial ports. LINE-by-LINE assembler programs to be entered and disassembled and powerful Monitor facilities then enable programs to be easily debugged. Monitor's totally integrated environment gives direct access to the users Cross-development software. On board static RAM and EPROM are provided, and auxiliary memory sockets allow for the fitting of additional RAM and EPROM/EEPROM chips. Using the EEPROM programming routines provided by the monitor, the board is an excellent target for many stand alone applications.
877-DATS is based on the "in system programmable" and erasable Microchip PIC16F877 CMOS FLASH device. The open target board has access to all functions of the micro-controller either by IDC connectors or screw terminals. "In-Circuit debugging" (ICD) is implemented using special hardware features built into the PIC16F877. The target board is linked via the serial port to a PC in order to allow easy downloading of control code developed using Microchip's MPLAB software package or high level language development software.
C5X-DATS (dos only) is a development package for the PIC16C5X range of micro-controllers and consists of a PIC software simulator designed to run on a personal computer used in conjunction with the PIC hardware, linked to the computer via the serial port. Programs can be single stepped and debugged in simulation whilst I/0 is performed in 'real time' Programs are entered directly into the LINE-by-LINE assembler and are easily debugged using the simple set of system commands.
KAYCOMP II is a complete computer board based on the MC 68000 16 bit microprocessor and peripheral devices. Extensive serial and parallel Input and output hardware equip the board as an effective target system for a wide range of stand-alone applications especially real time control, where the power and speed of the M68000 are particularly important. It is also a versatile design and evaluation tool, ideal for EDUCATIONAL and TRAINING applications. On board 16 bit wide static RAM and EPROM are provided, and auxiliary memory sockets allow for the fitting of additional RAM or EEPROM chips.
MC11-DATS 68HC11 DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING SYSTEM is a comprehensive single-board computer based on the powerful and popular Motorola MC68HC11 micro-controller unit (MCU). It is designed for use as a development system and training aid or may just as easily be used as a stand-alone controller or computer. For simple applications, a ROM-resident monitor allows user programs to be quickly assembled on a Line-by-Line basis, then run and debugged. More sophisticated programs may be assembled (or compiled) on the host PC using our cross development software. The assembled code can then be downloaded, run and debugged on the MC11-DATS.
The 8051-DATS micro-controller trainer is supplied with the ATMEL T89C51RD2 chip fitted. This chip features FLASH memory, EEPROM and internal RAM. A versatile Windows based real-time monitor communicates with a PC via the built-in serial port. The monitor includes a line assembler and dis-assembler, facilities to set break point and single step. Also, with the facility to examine and change memory contents. Alternatively, a cross assembler package can be used.
The 8086-DATS microprocessor trainer is a very similar hardware construction to the 68000 based KAYCOMP II. The hardware consists of a double eurocard PCB fitted with the full range of associated peripheral chips for the 8086 processor and allowing for expansion of both ROM and RAM. Program development and debugging can be carried out using the powerful Windows based software monitor or by using an assembler package installed in a PC.
PL-DATS Programmable logic development and training system has been developed as a low cost solution to the introduction of "In system" Programmable Logic Device (PLD) programming and application. Using a proprietary, introductory level, PLD development software, programs can be developed on a Personal Computer. By connecting the PL-DATS hardware to the parallel port of the PC, programs can be downloaded into an "In system programmable" (ISP) device. The device can be repeatedly re-programmed without removal from the hardware. PL-DATS is available as a complete system comprising of the powerful but easy to use LATTICE isp Synario Starter Software together with the ABITEC PL-DATS hardware and Applications board Experiment manual.
A series of individual data sheets with comprehensive specification details is available on each of the products outlined above.
